What happens on your free assessment lesson?

You’re assessment lesson will begin when Alan collects you from your home or office.

You will need to bring both parts of your provisional driving licence with you and the Alan will ask you to read a number plate of a car in the street to quickly check your eyesight.

If you require glasses or contact lenses to read a standard car number plate in good daylight from 20.5 metres, (67 feet), then you must wear them every time you drive.

Alan will then take you to a quiet location close by and give you a ‘mini’ driving lesson.

He’ll ask you about any previous experience you may have had - so he can properly evaluate your skills and knowledge.

He’ll also explain the structure of the driving test and give you an understanding of what you need to do to pass and be safe on the roads.

It’s also an ideal opportunity for you to sample Alan’s method of teaching. Of course, we want you to take lessons with us, but just because you’ve had an assessment lesson, you are under no obligation to do so.

What happens when I book a free assessment driving lesson?

We always confirm lesson bookings or cancellations within 12 hours - either by  e-mail, text or phone.

We also send you a reminder text on the day of your lesson. Please bring your Driving Licence with you.
